We are currently accepting applications for seasonal grain elevator operators based out of our Farmers Cooperative Association (FCA) locations in Columbus, Kansas.

Primary duties and responsibilities will include:
– Transfer, load and move grain to appropriate location
– Maintain grain quality while being stored and/or transferred
– Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly
– Comply with the company safety program
– Perform all duties within compliance of OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations; including wearing appropriate PPE for task being performed
– Perform general clean-up including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting and other general housekeeping
– Operate, run, monitor and shut down dryer as required
– Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs
– Operate a variety of heavy equipment

Knowledge in grain handling, safety protocols and agriculture is preferred. Candidates must pass all FCA preemployment requirements. Overtime will be required.

We are searching for goal-oriented team players for this position. Candidates should be self-motivated individuals with the ability to successfully communicate and collaborate with the FCA employee team and patrons. The successful candidates will be prepared to support and promote the FCA and its members at all times.

Compensation for this position will be competitive and based upon knowledge and experience.
